Managrama is my creative philosophy—the belief that meaning is not simply created but uncovered, reshaped, and reimagined.

I am Mara Alvarez, a writer and multimedia creator with a degree in Communication from ITESO and a diploma in Writing for Film and Television from Vancouver Film School. Over the past 12 years, my career has spanned technical writing and photographic production across various industries, as well as hosting and coordinating open mic poetry nights in both Mexico (Dime Poesía, ITESO, 2011-2015) and Canada (ROLL, Elysian, 2025).

At the heart of my work is storytelling as revelation—an exploration of identity, belonging, and the shifting landscapes we call home. Through the lens of Managrama, I use photography and writing to rearrange fragments of experience into pieces that spark dialogue, challenge perspectives, and invite new ways of seeing.
